Get well soon Fabrice Muamba!
Words can't describe how I feel right now. An emotional wreck comes close, but it's a lot more serious than that. Hearing the news of Fabrice Muamba collapsing and ultimately fighting for his life at this very moment is soul destroying for not only anyone in the football world, but everyone outside of it as well. It really puts into perspective how unimportant football is in times like this. It's truly a sad, sad day which will most probably affect all the football fans not just in the country, but also from all round the world. Seeing him down like that motionless, attempting to be resuscitated by the clearly desperate paramedics is both frightening and shocking to see. The looks on everyone's faces also said it all, with Rafael Van der Vaart's reaction as well as Jermaine Defoe's tears clarifying that a major incident has occurred.

Muamba just before the tragic incident |
Although I wasn't old enough at the time to remember, but from YouTube videos I have re-lived the moment of Marc Vivian-Foe's tragic death in 2003, and to put it frankly, I was very emotional - as I am right now. Today is an exact replica of what happened back then; however I for one am praying that he pulls through and makes a full recovery. No one likes to see these sort of things happen, and my condolences go both to his friends and family, and I hope Fabrice Muamba can pull through and make a speedy recovery. It doesn't matter who he plays for, how he plays and whether you like him or not - It's emotional for everyone and we should all wish Fabrice a full recovery. It’s a dark day in football as a whole, and I think I represent the whole football world in quoting these words, but get well soon Muamba!
