Tottenham 'move ahead' of Man United in pursuit of La Liga outcast

Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the Premier League's most active clubs in the current transfer window. Jose Mourinho's side have made three signings, with Matt Doherty, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart all  j oining the north London outfit. On Sunday night, the PFA Young Player of the Year award for the 2016/2017 season was announced. In an award decided by every footballer plying their trade in the Premier League and given to the best player in the league equal to or under the age of 23, it was Dele Alli who was given this prestigious award. The 21 year-old midfielder ousted Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku and Leroy Sane on his way to receiving the trophy.
