Manchester United 'very close' to making second summer signing

Image
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing a fine job at Manchester United. The Norwegian manager took over in December 2018 with the club in turmoil. Fast forward two years and United are now back in the Champions League and looking to challenge for the Premier League title once again. United need to have a successful transfer window, though. They finished a massive 33 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League last campaign, meaning bolstering the squad is of paramount importance. The Red Devils have already completed the signing of Ajax star, Donny van de Beek. The Dutch midfielder joined the club earlier this month as he completed a £40m move. And it appears United are set to announce their second signing of the summer. According to Mundo Deportivo , United are 'very close' to signing to signing Real Madrid left-back, Sergio Reguilon. Negotiations are said to be 'well advanced' and the signing could be completed by the end of the week. The fee is believed to be around £22.5m....

Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the Premier League's most active clubs in the current transfer window. Jose Mourinho's side have made three signings, with Matt Doherty, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart all  j oining the north London outfit. But Mourinho is still looking to bolster his squad and, according to ESPN , he is eyeing a sensational move for former Spurs star, Gareth Bale. The Portuguese manager has reportedly told Daniel Levy that his side needs attacking reinforcements to ease the goal-scoring burden on Harry Kane, with efforts to negotiate a deal with Real Madrid for Bale having already taken place. Bale is also drawing attention from Manchester United, but they are pursuing other options at this stage. The Welshman was once one of the best players in the world but is now finding first-team opportunities heard to come by at Madrid. He played just 20 time in the 2019/20 season, scoring three times. Bale has been told he can leave the club, with Real Madrid ready...
