Antonio Conte guided Chelsea to their 5th Premier League title |
1st: Chelsea - 9/10
After a tough start, Antonio Conte managed to reverse both his and Chelsea's performances as they cruised to the Premier League title. However, the season ended on a sour note as they were defeated 2-1 in the FA Cup Final by Arsenal. Nevertheless, it was still a fantastic season for a side that could only finish 10th in the 2015/2016 season.
Star Man: N'Golo Kante
Disappointment: Michy Batshuayi
2nd: Tottenham - 8/10
Under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham are now a Premier League force and look set to win their first Premier League title in the near future. Unfortunately for the North London side, after a remarkable run of form in 2017, they fell just shy of silverware in both the league and the FA Cup.
Star Man: Harry Kane
Disappointment: Vincent Janssen
3rd: Manchester City - 4/10
For City, it was a quite terrible season. Despite spending big last summer, Pep Guardiola failed to guide his side to any success. Failed in the Premier League. Failed in the League Cup and FA Cup. Failed in the Champions League. Guardiola needs to rectify hid mistakes next season.
Star Man: Kevin De Bruyne
Disappointment: Claudio Bravo

Daniel Sturrigle endured a miserable 2016/2017 season. Will he still be at the club next season? |
4th: Liverpool - 7/10
It was a welcome return to the top four for Liverpool, who will be competing in the Champions League for only the second time in eight seasons. It is now a highly important period for Klopp, who will be looking to capitalise on Champions league qualification by attracting a host of star names to Anfield over the course of the next few months.
Star Man: Sadio Mane
Disappointment: Daniel Sturridge
5th: Arsenal - 3/10
Arsenal's worst fears came true. They failed to finish in the top four and thus will not compete in next season's Champions League. However, a promising finish to the season and a victory in the FA Cup final made sure this season was not a complete disaster.
Star Man: Alexis Sanchez
Disappointment: Mesut Ozil
6th: Manchester United - 5/10
Amazingly, Manchester United went on a 25-game unbeaten run in the league and won three trophies, but still the season was extremely poor by their standards. Jose Mourinho spent big last summer, but his side flattered to deceive in the league and they finished way behind Chelsea. Not good enough.
Star Man: Ander Herrera
Disappointment: Anthony Martial

Holding onto Romelu Lukaku will be an extremely hard task for Everton this summer |
7th: Everton - 6/10
Cracking the top six was always going to be a hard task, but Everton had a successful season in finishing 'the best of the rest'. Ronald Koeman has a youthful, promising squad at his disposal given they spend wisely this summer, the Merseyside club should improve further next season.
Star Man: Romelu Lukaku
Disappointment: Enner Valencia
8th: Southampton - 6/10
Southampton failed to progress under new manager Claude Puel but the majority of the club's fan will probably be satisfied with an 8th place finish. There were positive signs in cup competitions, as the club were narrowly defeated by Manchester United in the League Cup Final. For next season, Southampton must hold on to Virigl Van Dijk; if they fail to do so he be a massive loss.
Star Man: Virgil Van Dijk
Disappointment: Sofiane Bouffal
9th: Bournemouth - 9/10
Eddie Howe is a miracle worker. When he was given the managerial job nine years ago, Bournemouth were in the relegation zone in League Two and looking destined to fall out of the football league. They are now a top half Premier League club. What an astonishing change of fortunes in such a short space of time.
Star Man: Joshua King
Disappointment: Jordon Ibe
10th: West Bromwich Albion - 7/10
Tony Pulis continues to prove his reputation as a very good Premier League manager, as he escorted his side to a top half finish. However, their late season form would be cause for concern, as the Midlands club only picked up two points from their last nine games.
Star Man: Gareth McAuley
Disappointment: Hal Robson-Kanu
