CPR All Stars 12-0 Camberley Boys

Curley Park Rangers stormed into the quarter finals of the League Cup with a dominant display in which saw them crush local rivals Camberley Boys 12-0.

With such a disappointing performance and result last week, Curley Park Rangers were looking to bounce back to winning ways and fielded a strong team in order to do so.

The team lined up as follows:
GK: Kevany LB: Finlay CB: Hastings CB: Honeywood RB: Marsh CM: Adolphous CM: Rolt LM: Parslow RM: Stroud CF: Dunnage ST: Rice

Subs: McMillan, Ross, Morris, Barby

In contrast to last week, the boys stormed out the blocks and took the lead with barely 5 minutes on the clock. Parslow opened the scoring with a cross/shot, which deflected off a Camberley player and into the net via the post.

It was soon 2-0 when Rice slipped the ball through to Dunnage, and he showed great composure in slotting the ball beyond the keeper and into the roof of the net.

Dunnage then doubled his tally a few minutes later after a mini scramble in the box resulted in the midfielder curling the ball into the corner of the net.

After missing a couple of early chances, Stroud was still getting in dangerous positions, and Curley Park got their 4th when the wing man unselfishly rolled the ball to Rice, who tapped the ball into an empty net.

The game was quickly turning into a rout, and Stroud and Rice combined again to make it 5-0. Rolt lobbed the ball over the top to Stroud, who touched the ball round the on rushing keeper, before Rice nipped in to tap the ball into an empty net.

The best goal of the game was arguably CPR's 6th, from a free kick when Stroud was brought down. He left the free kick to Dunnage, who pelted the ball at the goal, with the keeper looking astounded as the ball cannoned off the post and into the net.

There were no further goals in the first half, and the score line at the break perfectly resembled CPR's dominance over their rivals.

CPR again stormed out of the blocks after the half time break, and Rolt took CPR's tally to 7 when he curled the ball towards goal, with the ball again going in off the post.

Adolphous then made it 8 when he touched down an exquisite Dunnage through ball, and showed great composure in slotting the ball home.

Everyone was now getting in on the act and the score line was soon 9-0. Finlay, who was yet to open his tally for the season, found himself with space on the edge of the box and he rifled the ball into the corner of the net.

McMillan, who had scored against Colchester United in midweek, made it 10 when he broke away and placed the ball in the corner of the net.

McMillan got a quick fire double when Stroud got to the by line and crossed for the front man, who's header was weak, but the Camberley keeper still could not prevent the ball from hitting the back of the net for the 11th time.

The Camberley keeper was evidently disappointed with both his individual and the team’s performance and stormed off the pitch, only to return after he was persuaded by his manager.

But CPR kept their foot on the gas and further poor keeping by the Camberley Boys number 1 resulted in Stroud crossing to Rice, who put the ball in from a yard out to complete his hat trick and end the rout.

Curley Park headed into the game as favourites and lived up to this tag as they smashed 12 past a hapless Camberley boys side.

In doing so, CPR reached the quarter final of the cup, and will undoubtedly face tougher challenges as they enter the last 8.

Man of the match went to Dunnage, who's creation and flair just behind the striker helped set up numerous CPR attacks, and his impressive display also included bagging himself a hat trick.
