Tottenham 6-0 Milwall (FA Cup Quarter Final)
Tottenham host League 1 side Millwall at White Hart Lane with a place in the Semi Finals of the FA Cup up for grabs. With Arsenal and Manchester City already securing their place in the last 4, the home side will undoubtedly be keen to avoid an upset and ensure a high quality last 4 will hoist the trophy this year. They may be in good form and find themselves second in the Premier League, but the league one side have been in good form themselves and therefore present a considerable threat. After a slow start to the season, Millwall have soared up the table; they now find themselves in 6th place and in reach of an automatic promotion berth having gone 17 games unbeaten in all competitions. A large part of their success has been down to their solidarity in defence, having only conceded 6 goals from those 17 games. Spirits are clearly high in East London and this feel good factor could help them to an unlikely victory.
Pundit's match predictions: (1 point for correct winner and 1 point for correct result)
1) James Stroud (Charlton fan - 4 points): 2-0 to Tottenham. Millwall are in great form and are solid in defence, but Tottenham have found their potency in attack recently and will have too much for their league one opponents.
2=) Jordan Parslow (Manchester United fan - 3 points): 3-1 to Tottenham. The Premier League side will manage to avoid an upset.
2=) Adrian Ross (Chelsea fan - 3 points): 2-0 to Tottenham. Millwall have been impressive in the cup this year but I think Spurs will be too much for them.
4=) James Rolt (Chelsea fan - 2 points): 1-1 draw. Millwall will put up a fight and will come away from White Hart Lane having secured a replay.
4=) James Kaye (Arsenal fan - 2 points): 4-1 to Tottenham. Harry Kane to continue his goal scoring form in a romp for the home side.
4=) David Stroud (Chelsea fan - 2 points): 3-0 to Tottenham. Tottenham are the better side and I expect their technical superiority to blow the league one challengers away.
7) Luke Marsh (Manchester United fan - 1 point): 4-0 to Tottenham. Harry Kane has been unstoppable in recent weeks and will grab a hat trick en route to a convincing win for Tottenham.
In a tournament of shocks, the big sides have largely been able to avoid the upsets and battle their way through the competition. Millwall have had a number of considerable scalps in this competition, which includes victories against 3 Premier League sides: Bournemouth, Watford and Leicester. But today's test will be a whole different level to what they are used to. As the last of the minnows remaining in the competition, can Millwall cause an upset and can they replicate their heroics in 2004? Or will Harry Kane and co prove to have too much for their league one opponents?
The teams lined up as follows:

Kick off:
In a frantic first 10 minutes, Tottenham were looking like a team who were determined to make the semi finals of the FA Cup and could have been 5-0 up in the first 6 minutes. They were shooting on sight at the Millwall goal, and were carving their opponents defence open at will.
King was forced into action time and time again, but he was able to stand firm as he kept out strikes from Winks, Son and Kane.
Despite their convincing start, Tottenham's chances took a massive blow as Harry Kane was forced off with injury. Although their main striker had suffered an injury, if the opening 10 minutes were anything to go by the home side should easily have enough to overcome their opponents without him. Nevertheless, his loss will still worry every Tottenham fan around the world, as it may keep him out for a number of weeks meaning their challenge for the title could suffer a serious blow.
After a shaky start in the first 10 minutes, Millwall had found their feet defensively and Tottenham were not testing King in the away goal as near as much as they were in the opening stages of the game.
That being said, the home were still controlling the majority of the game and Millwall were struggling to get into the opposition half. In a rare adventure forward they were able to get a shot away, but Morison's effort was hopeful and it sailed harmlessly wide.
But as the clock struck 30 minutes played, Millwall's resilience in defence could not go on any longer and Tottenham broke the deadlock through their substitute, Christian Eriksen. With the ball bouncing in the box, the Danish midfielder showed great technique as he rifled his effort into the bottom corner. (1-0)
The home side were in the ascendancy and could have doubled their advantage when Eriksen sent in a devilish corner, but Wanyama's header crashed off the bar.
The writing was on the wall for Millwall and they were struggling to cope with the quality in Tottenham's ranks. The home side managed to double their advantage through the boot of Son, and what a goal it was. The South Korean beat his man on the corner of the box, and he sent in a brilliant curled effort that whizzed past King in a flash before nestling into the top corner. An unstoppable effort and probably one of the goals of this year's competition. (2-0)
Half Time: 2-0
Tottenham showed their intent as they tested King a number of times in the opening 10 minutes, but were made to wait until the 30th minute before they broke the deadlock through. A good goal from Eriksen followed by a spectacular effort from Son give them a comfortable 2 goal lead going into the break, and given the first half proceedings it looks as if they will be able to run away with the victory.
However, the injury to Kane is a serious blow for Tottenham, and it will be interesting to see what implications his injury will have in the Premier League title race.
Tottenham had been dominant in the first half, and got right back into their stride following the restart. Ben Davies, deputising for the injured Danny Rose, went on a mazy run from left back that saw him find himself on the edge of the box, but he scuffed his effort wide when under pressure.
Minutes later Eriksen found space and crashed in a 25 yard strike at the Millwall goal, but King did well to palm his effort away.
It was only 5 minutes into the second half, but it was clear that Tottenham were going to try and add to their lead rather than sit back and see out the win. They were looking extremely menacing in attack, and you got the impression that they would add to their tally at some point in the second half.
And on the 53rd minute Tottenham got their third following another fantastic goal from Son. The former Leverkusen man was released in behind following a fantastic ball over the top from Trippier, and the forward would make no mistake as he took the ball on the full and volleyed into the bottom corner. (3-0)
Millwall had a chance to get back in the game moments later following a good ball from Onyedinma, but Wallace could not convert the chance when it was presented to him as his close range effort went well wide.
But that was only a rare attacking opportunity for the away side. In truth, Millwall were being played off the park and Tottenham made their dominance count as they further extended their advantage in the 71st minute. Trippier found Eriksen in the box, and the Dane found Alli at the back post who made no mistake from 4 yards out. (4-0)
It was turning into a rout and Tottenham got their 5th through the boot of Janssen. Son picked the ball up on the left hand side, and he drove into the box with intent of bagging his hat trick. But the South Korean unselfishly rolled the ball across to Janssen, who expertly finished first time into the corner. That was Janssen's first goal from open play for Tottenham and he was evidently relieved to finally break his duck. (5-0)
The Dutch striker should have had another shortly after as he was presented with a golden opportunity in front of goal, but when the chance came he headed the ball straight into the hands of King from 6 yards out.
Tottenham put the icing on the cake in the final minute as they got their 6th and in the process Son completed his hat trick. Sissoko burst down the left and he released Eriksen in space. The superb Dane sent in an inch perfect ball to Son, and the South Korean rather fortuitously found the back of the net having gone through the legs of King. It was cruel on the Millwall keeper who had stood up well to the task at hand today, but he really should have kept Son's effort out. (6-0)
Full time: 6-0
Well, that was a rout. Tottenham were absolutely superb from start to finish, and managed to score a number of high quality goals en route to a thrashing of Millwall. The result and performance would have been perfect had it not been through the injury to influential striker Harry Kane, who could be absent in the coming weeks. If Kane has suffered a long term injury, this could seriously derail Tottenham's hopes for Premier League and FA Cup glory.
Millwall weren't actually that bad; they just could not compete with their Premier League opponents. Unfortunately, they could not stop Tottenham from putting 6 past them, and in the process their 17 game unbeaten streak came to an abrupt end. They now turn their attention to the league, and they would be looking to their FA Cup run as inspiration as they continue their charge for automatic promotion.
