Is exciting Barca youngster Liverpool bound?
It is rumored that Liverpool are preparing a bid for Barcelona's talented young star, Christian Tello. Tello has found first team opportunities limited at Barcelona, and has had to make do with a role as a bit-part player. The young Spaniard is attracting attention from all across Europe, but it seems that it may well be a two horse race between Liverpool and Arsenal in the chase for his signature.
Personally, I feel Tello will be a brilliant aqquistuon if Liverpool were to secure his services for next season. A permanent deal would be more preferable in my eyes as it means he can grow and fulfill his potential at Anfield over the next few years, but if he were to be signed on a loan deal then he would still make a massive impact on the Premier League. On the few occasions where I have seen the young Spaniard play, he did not look out of place at all in the Barcelona team, and that in itself proves he is a huge talent. He has also got Champions League experience under his belt, including scoring 2 goals against Leverkusen, showing that he has the quality to perform on a world stage.
His trickery and comfort on the ball means he will fit Brendan Rodgers Tika Taka style of football perfectly, and he will also provide the Reds with much needed pace on the wings. Most importantly, the wings has been a major problem for Liverpool over the years, and his youth and talent means he'll be able to resolve this problem for a number of years if he were to join. Liverpool struggled for goals last season and Tello could surely provide much needed attacking force, whether it be providing or scoring goals.
Where there is huge inflation on the transfer market these days, I believe a fee in the region of around £10 million pounds is a steal for such a great talent, and I believe that Brendan Rodgers should snap up Tello before it is too late.
