THE RETURN!
The Football Addick is making a return to posting after a number of years in hiatus!
A lot has happened in the footballing world since my last post in 2014: England failed miserably at the 2014 World Cup (shock), England failed miserably again at the 2016 European Championships (still not a shock). Most tragically of all, my beloved Charlton Athletic has been ripped apart by a greedy owner by the name of Roland Duchatelet, whose questionable philosophies and disgraceful treatment of the clubs fans have left much of the support disillusioned with his methods. Oh, and Leicester somehow won the Premier League; proof that miracles do happen.
After graduating from Southampton with a History Degree, in preparation for a potential future role working in the journalism industry I am intending to revitalise this blog in order to gain experience, whilst also develop my writing skills. Initially I am looking to write match reports on games that I see on TV, although I may also branch out and write opinion articles on both Charlton and the Premier League as a whole. So I hope you all are excited about the Football Addick's return and I look forward to putting out some quality content in the near future!
The first game I cover will most likely be the Arsenal vs Hull City game on Saturday (12:30pm kick off) so make sure to tune in then!
