CPR All Stars 4-4 Chobham Burymead

Curley Park Rangers and Chobham Burymead played out an 8 goal thriller which eventually ended all square. CPR went into the game high in confidence following on from some very good early season form, and they were hoping their run would continue against a Chobham side that had only picked up 1 point from their opening 2 games. The team lined up as follows: GK: Kevany LB: Ross CB: Hastings CB: Honeywood RB: Marsh CM: Adolphous CM: Rolt LM: Parslow RM: Stroud CF: Dunnage ST : Rice Subs: Goggin, Finlay, Morris CPR went into the game with a few absentees, with Barby, McMillan, Lloyd-Bisley and Nott all unavailable. The game kicked off with Chobam Burymead having the better of the ball, with CPR evidently not hitting the heights they had done in recent weeks. Despite this, they took the lead on roughly the 15 minute mark, after an absolute howler from the Chobham keeper. The ball was lobbed forward and Stroud won the header, and the keeper looked a certainty to gather the ba...

Everton have been the inferior team on Merseyside since their glory days in the 1980's and have had to be content with countless mid table finishes. However, David Moyes has slowly worked his magic and despite having to work with a tight budget, has brought a certain degree of success. He has achieved the first objective of earning the title as the best team on Merseyside, and now has his eyes set on a return to the Champions League; which they briefly tasted in 2005. But with Moyes' team lighting up this Premier League season with a number of impressive performances so far; can Moyes and his men return to the Champions League? David Moyes has worked wonders at Everton since his appointment in 2002 Everton have made a terrific start, picking up 14 points from 7 games. They have looked impressive in the process, hitting the back of the net 14 times whilst also keeping clean sheets on 3 occasions. But most impressive of all is that their start hasn't been easy at all....

Eastleigh 6-4 CPR All Stars

This afternoon, CPR, a team who have only played 4 games together to date, came up against an academy side who train day in, day out, week in, week out. Eastleigh, a team who's first team play in the 6th tier of English football, were the opponents for the second round of the Hampshire county cup, and on paper; were expected to smash us. The team lined up as follows: GK: Kevany LB: Barby CB: Hastings CB: Ross RB: Marsh CM: Rolt CM: Adolphous LM: Finlay RM: Stroud CF: Rice ST : McMillan Subs: Parslow, Honeywood, Nott, Dunnage The only absentee for the big game was Lloyd-Bisley, who has been ruled out for around 6 weeks with a broken foot. But his absence was covered by the returning Dunnage, who had shaken off a groin injury, and Honeywood, who was also making his first appearance since his move from Nottingham . Curley Park would've been forgiven for sitting back and absorbing pressure, but they got off to an electrifying start to break the deadlock after only 2 m...

CPR All Stars 7-1 CSA 07

Curley Park went into their first cup game of the season after not playing the previous two weeks, but this did not affect them as they smashed 7 past a hapless CSA 07 defence; and in turn extended their winning streak to 4 games. The team lined up as follows: GK: Kevany LB: Barby CB: Hastings CB: Nott RB: Ross CM: Rolt CM: Adolphous LM: Parslow RM: Stroud CF: Rice ST : Lloyd- Bisley Subs: McMillan, Finlay The only change from previous games was Ross replacing the ineligible Marsh at right back, with the former making his full debut for CPR in the process. The game started a little cagey as neither side could exert their authority on the game, but at about the 10 minute mark Curley Park began to get into their stride. After a couple of wasted chances in the opening 10 minutes, Stroud raced down the right and squared the ball to Rice, who had the easy task of tapping the ball home from around 3 yards. CSA 07 looked a little deflated after conceding the opening goal, and ...
